This car was first introduced in October 1998 and launched as a sedan that will become a world’s standard. Because it was significantly larger than previous models (length +50 mm, height +30 mm) many people immediately decided to buy this machine. Even now a used Nissan Sunny is rather a good choice if you want to have car that is both reliable and fast. Even though a used Nissan Sunny is a small car, it has rather powerful engine – a 1,6 litre four cylinder inline DOHC unit producing 172 horsepower and also featuring a VVL system (variable valve lift and timing). The car is a standard front engine, front wheel drive construction and it accelerates from 0-60 mph (0-100 km/h) in about 8 seconds, which is possible due to the powerful engine and light weight of the used Nissan Sunny (2601 lbs = 1180 kg). Suspension of the car consists of MacPherson struts at the front and a multi link system at the rear and thanks to this solution a used Nissan Sunny is quite economical machine, yet giving sporty feel when driving. The transmission is available as a five speed manual gearbox only, without an option for automatic box. This car is also very safe because of greatly improved impact performance and some innovations that weren’t present in previous models.
